OMM Barcelona: A Gastronomic Night in the Heart of the City

When you’re in Barcelona for a good time, exploring all the city’s sights can be both exciting and exhausting. After a day filled with Gaudi’s remarkable works, all you really want is to relax, recharge, and enjoy some fantastic food.

Enter OMM Barcelona! More than just a hotel, OMM offers an experience we didn’t fully appreciate until we included it in our travel plans. It’s a lovely hotel with a rooftop pool and bar, conveniently located just a short walk from some of Gaudi’s famous attractions. But what makes OMM truly special is how it has everything you need for a great night out in Barcelona.

OMM features its own nightclub, a favorite among the local crowd, located in the hotel’s basement, so you won’t be disturbed in your room. It also boasts excellent bars and a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Imagine this: after a day of sightseeing, you return to your room, kick off your shoes, and maybe take a refreshing dip in the pool. Then, you head to the poolside bar for a pre-dinner drink. Next, take the elevator down to the restaurant, indulge in a delightful meal, and perhaps enjoy a glass of wine. You can then move to the relaxed bar for cocktails and live music before hitting the club for some dancing.

The best part? When you’re ready to call it a night, a quick elevator ride takes you back to your room, avoiding the hassle of taxis. After a day well spent, you deserve an effortless and enjoyable evening!

Let’s explore Hotel OMM, starting at the top and continuing to its bedrooms. The rooms offer a royal bath, perfect for unwinding before dinner if you skip the pool.

The restaurant is a must-visit, even if you’re not staying at the hotel. The chefs will treat you with dishes like timbal of apple and foie with vanilla oil, Iberian ham croquettes, and smoked salmon marinated with gin and beetroot. There’s a steamed brioche with truffle, and everything is tapas-style, ideal for sharing.

If you’re still hungry, try the steak tartare “Joan Roca,” Iberian suckling pig with orange and clove, or coconut rice with prawns. Don’t miss the tandoori chicken with basmati rice. For dessert, we chose the black chocolate coulant with stracciatella ice cream, and also enjoyed assorted cheeses with ginger jam, and apple pie with ginger ice cream, alongside a few glasses of wine. The food is absolutely fantastic – every dish is a delight, and I can’t wait to experience it all again when I return to Barcelona.

After satisfying your taste buds, you can head downstairs to the club.

Do you see now why OMM is the ultimate go-to spot when visiting Barcelona?
