I love to travel, and I’m pretty sure you do too. This isn’t meant to criticize those amazing individuals who have left their jobs to explore the world. Stepping away from a job to travel brings numerous challenges, and I admire their courage and determination. However, there are various ways to achieve the goal of seeing the world, and you don’t necessarily have to quit your job to do so.
One downside of the “quit your job and travel” mantra is that it’s not feasible for most people. Many who love to travel still want and need their jobs, making it seem impossible to have both. But that’s not the case. You can definitely travel and maintain your job; these two things don’t have to be separate.
I’m not trying to talk you out of your dream to travel or to convince you to stay home. Instead, I’m encouraging you not to use your job as an excuse to postpone travel. Start thinking creatively about how to balance both. The key takeaway is that you can indeed do both—see the world and work.
