Let’s get straight to it—when visiting New York, beyond all the fun activities, trying the food is vital! One spot I never miss is Bubby’s in New York. It’s my top pick for brunch or lunch, especially when I’m really hungry. New York is packed with restaurants, particularly in the trendiest neighborhoods, so it’s great that Bubby’s has several locations in Manhattan.
If you’re around Tribeca, it’s super convenient, especially if you’re staying nearby. Although the Tribeca location might seem low-key from the outside, don’t be deceived—it’s definitely a must-visit for brunch in the city. At first, we weren’t even sure we had the right place until we got closer.
When we first visited, the place was buzzing, but a quick call confirmed we didn’t need a reservation and we were seated immediately. However, on our second trip to Bubby’s near the Highline (which unfortunately is now closed), we did need to book ahead, as it was packed. So, for other Manhattan locations, making a reservation is a smart move if you want to secure your spot.
Imagine classic Southern comfort food. Their pancakes and spiked lemonade are irresistibly delicious. The menu changes at different times, so checking their website for the latest offerings is a good idea.
Brunch at Bubby’s isn’t fine dining, and it shouldn’t break the bank. We typically spent about $30-$40 each on meals and drinks, though costs can vary based on your choices.
The brunch we had at Bubby’s in New York was fantastic. It was so good that I started eating before even thinking about taking a photo—proof that good food is meant to be enjoyed, not just admired. It was the perfect start to our day, especially with our jet lagged minds looking for a boost.
