Le Pop: A Night of Cocktails in Barcelona, Spain

Le Pop: A Night of Cocktails in Barcelona, Spain

I’ve been wanting to share this with you for months, and I’m finally doing it! The spot I’m talking about is Le Pop, located in the Le Méridien on La Rambla—Barcelona’s most famous street. It might sound like an obvious choice, but it’s definitely worth it.

After a busy day exploring Barcelona, we arrived just in time for our 9 pm reservation at Le Pop. The mixologist welcomed us warmly and served up some colorful and tasty cocktails. We couldn’t decide what to order, so we just told him our likes and he whipped up something amazing based on our preferences. I was really into passion fruit at the time, and he created an incredible passion fruit cocktail for me.

I wish I could remember the names of all the cocktails we tried, but since it’s been a while, you’ll just have to go there and try them yourself! One thing I clearly remember is how delicious everything was!

Since the cocktails were so excellent, we decided to stay for dinner at the in-house restaurant, CentOnze. The four of us picked different starters to share, including the traditional Catalonian Pa amb tomàquet (bread with olive oil and tomato sauce), scallops, jamón serrano, beef with chimichurri sauce, and patatas bravas.

Maybe it was the cocktails, but every single dish was absolutely delicious. Our table was filled with happy noises like “Mmmmmm” and “Yummmmm” as we enjoyed our meal.

Next, we had broths, salads, and pâté, accompanied by red wine (although I couldn’t resist another bubbly cocktail). We then moved on to the incredible lamb (and beef for Georgia), topped with a mouthwatering sauce. If there’s one thing Le Pop does as well as cocktails, it’s hearty, delicious food.

For dessert, we indulged in a mix of crumble, deconstructed cheesecakes, and a chocolate delight with red berries sorbet. We ended the evening with more cocktails before heading out for a night of dancing in the city. It was Saturday night, after all, and dancing felt like a must in a fun city like Barcelona!

I hope you can see why I highly recommend visiting Le Pop in Barcelona. It’s a fantastic bar and the perfect place to kick off a night out in the city!
