We’ve all been there. You’re thrilled to be out and about, absorbing everything around you so much that you’ve almost neglected your rumbling stomach, which demands attention at the most inconvenient times. If you ever find yourself in that situation in Singapore, your first stop should be Chinatown!
Chinatown is bustling with one of the best selections of food around, and it truly comes alive, especially after dark! Singapore boasts plenty of elegant restaurants, but if you’re aiming for an authentic experience, it’s worth skipping them for now—even though there are incredible ones you should try later. Chinatown also features some cool outdoor bars, but my favorite thing about the area has to be the shops! You’ll discover so many fantastic finds—even if most of it isn’t strictly necessary, that’s part of the adventure! Once your hunger is satisfied, make sure to explore these shops.
And when you visit the food courts here, keep in mind that eating outside is generally cheaper than dining inside. So stick to outdoor dining unless you stumble upon something indoors that you simply can’t resist!
