Savor These 10 Must-Try Burgers in Berlin

Sometimes, there’s nothing better than a post about food, especially when it highlights the best burgers in Berlin! Today, we’re revisiting an old favorite—local recommendations. Simon Algren, a Berlin resident, knows all about outstanding burgers and has compiled a list of 10 must-visit burger spots in the city. Here are Simon’s top picks:

The burger scene in Berlin has truly taken off and can rival any American joint! You can find any burger you dream of in Berlin. This list features ten places I’d recommend, as each has its unique appeal. It’s not about ranking them because comparing them would be like comparing apples and pears.

Burgermeister is the spot I always rave about. It’s been my favorite since I moved to Berlin, thanks to its high standards and reasonable prices. The unique atmosphere under the U-Bahn tracks adds to its charm, and it’s always bustling with people. If you visit, don’t expect to sit down, and try the Hausmeister burger while you’re there. Address: Oberbaumstraße 8, 10997 Berlin.

Bun Bao, a new restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg, isn’t new to the burger scene. Formerly a food market hit, they now have a restaurant on Kollwitzstrasse. If you’re in the mood for something different, try Bun Bao’s Asian-inspired burgers with steamed buns, coriander, sauces, nuts, and various meats. They also offer vegetarian and vegan options. Make sure to try the wasabi mayonnaise! Address: Kollwitzstraße 84, 10435 Berlin.

Bunsmobile is a food truck featuring French staff that travels around Berlin and Germany. You can often find them at spots like Neue Heimat, Bite Club, or Street Food Thursday. Keep an eye on their Facebook page to discover where they’ll be next. Their menu changes, but they offer fantastic avocado crème. Address: Varies.

Another favorite of mine is a place known for its amazing Reuben Pastrami Sandwich, as well as some of the best burgers in Berlin. The atmosphere is great, the meat is top-notch, and the fries are perfectly crispy. If you visit, consider sharing a Reuben Pastrami and burger combo. Address: Linienstraße 136, 10115 Berlin.

Shiso Burger is my go-to spot after a night out. This Korean-style burger joint lets you see all the magic happening in the kitchen. The quality and care in each dish are evident. Their prices are very reasonable, and you can easily enjoy a meal for less than €10. Try the kimchi and twisted fries! Address: Auguststraße 29, 10119 Berlin.

I usually dislike food chains, but Tommi’s Burger Joint is an exception. I’ve visited their locations in London, Copenhagen, and Berlin, and they’re consistently good. The atmosphere is especially nice in Copenhagen. Their prices remain affordable despite being a restaurant chain. Try the Béarnaise sauce with your fries. Address: Invalidenstraße 160, 10115 Berlin.

Lily Burger offers one of Berlin’s juiciest burgers. Their portions are huge, and the burgers stand tall. If you crave a hearty meal, this is the spot for you. The wait might be long, and prices high, but it’s worth it. Bring friends and some cards, as they don’t serve beer. Address: Urbanstraße 70, 10967 Berlin.

Dudes Factory is a fun place to enjoy spirits and burgers. Their menu revolves around selecting from pulled pork or beef. Prices are fair, making it a great spot for a hangover burger. Address: Schlesische Str. 19, 10997 Berlin.

Piri’s hosts “Manic Monday” every week, offering €3 burgers. They’re known for their chicken burgers, available in spicy and mild variations. They’ve even won at the Burgers and Hip Hop event in Berlin. Whether it’s Monday’s deals or regular prices, you’ll enjoy these spicy options. Address: Wiener Str. 31, 10999 Berlin.

5Places, situated on Simon Dach Strasse in Friedrichshain, offers five different burgers, including a Signature Burger for just €4-5. You can customize with extra toppings and cheeses. They also have delicious sweet potato fries with wasabi mayonnaise. It’s a simple, honest addition to Berlin’s burger scene. Address: Simon-Dach-Str. 30, 10245 Berlin.
