After my visit, I wanted to share some top-notch restaurants in Niagara-on-the-Lake that I think you’ll enjoy. Each spot offers its own specialties that you just have to try.
Masaki Sushi is a must-visit if you love sushi. It’s one of the best in town, serving up amazing dishes like Aburi Sushi made from Seared Nigiri and spicy salmon rolls. Be sure to pair your meal with their delicious Mio Sparkling Sake.
Right on Queen Street, you’ll find Treadwell, a farm-to-table restaurant known for its fresh seasonal ingredients. Their seared scallops with capers are a standout you should definitely try.
The Winery Restaurant, located at Peller Estate, offers a fantastic menu, including pistachio-crusted goat cheese and Rainbow trout. Don’t miss sampling their wines—they’re truly delightful.
For those with a sweet tooth, Gelato di Carlotta is a must! Their gelato is among the best and features flavors like chocolate orange, peanut, and pumpkin. It’s family-run, and their dedication to quality is evident.
Backhouse is another gem, offering exquisite dishes despite its unassuming exterior. They use ingredients sourced from their garden and local suppliers. You must try their spring lamb with artichokes and their Icewine float.
For a British experience, drop by The Olde Angel Inn, where you can enjoy traditional pub fare like bangers and mash. It’s the perfect spot to relax with a pint.
If afternoon tea is more your style, the Prince of Wales Drawing Room is the place to go. Enjoy a variety of teas, cakes, scones, and cucumber sandwiches in a lovely setting.
Finally, Bistro Six-One is perfect for casual dining, especially if you’re in the mood for wood-fired pizza. Their relaxed vibe is great for a laid-back evening with comfort food. And yes, I couldn’t resist ordering fries with my pizza!
